The John Groesch Memorial tournament is the annual spring tournament of the University of Maryland Go Club.

The 2008 tournament was held on Sunday, March 30.

We played only three rounds.   16 players participated.   Eric Lui was the winner, undefeated, with three points.   Kuo Tan, Yuan-Chang Luo and Thomas Teutsch all went undefeated.  Jamie Salts was the winner of the John Groesch Memorial prize for the best performance by a player who is under 20 and new to go.

Kyu price (3 points, tied): Kuo Tan 6k and Yuan-Chang Luo 7k
