Meeting Date, Time, and Location
The University of Maryland go club meets
The club meets every Wednesday while school is in session, and many other Wednesdays as well. We welcome players from the University and broader communities with an interest in go, regardless of skill level. Players who attend regularly range from 15 kyu through 2 dan in strength and we are happy to teach beginners.
If you are around campus on Fridays, you have no excuse to not show up. Come and hang out with us! We are very newbie-friendly. Whenever we play in Stamp, we meet in the food court area directly outside of the Baltimore room, on the ground floor. There's an easy way to find us. We're the ones playing the game that looks like Othello. To be extra sure that you do not get lost, consult this map.
Alternative venues for playing go and other local go events in the area can be found on our links page.

History
The U of MD Go Club extends back to the mid-1970s where it played a vital role in the development of the local go community. Numerous tournaments and special events have been conducted on campus since that time, thanks to the energy of dedicated student organizers, including our past president, Yuan Zhou, 7 dan. The club is an American Go Association chapter.
