2008 Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Tournament: Sunday, March 30, 2008

Our club's first annual spring tournament. This 1-day, 4-round tournament that took place on Sunday, March 30, 2008, in the Bodek Lounge, Houston Hall, at the University of Pennsylvania. 42 registrants competed in 5 divisions. The winners were:

2007 Philadelphia Fall Open:
September 22 – 23, 2007
Our first 2-day weekend tournament taking place on September 22 – 23, 2007, at the University of Pennsylvania. 44 registrants competed in either the Open or Handicap Sections. The Open Division Cash Prizes: $1,500.00. The AGA-rated tournament consisted of 5 rounds of play, with 60 minutes basic time and 5 30-second periods of overtime.

2006 Philadelphia Fall Open: December 10, 2006
Twenty-seven participants turned out to compete in the Penn Go Society's Philadelphia Fall Open, an AGA-rated Go tournament held on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at the University of Pennsylvania. The tournament featured 4 rounds of play, with 3 Divisions of players, in a full-handicapped, Fischer time format (18 min basic time + 15 s / move additional). Prizes were awarded for the top 4 winners of each Division. For the 2nd year in a row, the top winner of the tournament was Ricky Zhao, 3 dan.
