2007 Philadelphia Fall Open: September 22 – 23, 2007

Payment can be mailed in advance via check or money order, or at the tournament.

When: Saturday – Sunday, September 22 – 23, 2007.
Pre-registration available and requested (below). Registration at door from 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Round One to begin at 9:30 a.m.

Format: 5 Rounds. 7.5 komi. 60 minutes basic time, 5 30-sec periods of overtime. One Open Division (non-handicap) and 3 Handicap Divisions (final number may vary depending on number of entrants). All games AGA rated and played using AGA rules.

Hotel & Lodging Options: There are two hotels on UPenn's campus, The Inn at Penn (run by Hilton) and Sheraton University City, both of which are within one block from the playing site. Information for either hotel may be found here:

Those who are looking for discount lodging rates are advised to try a service such as Expedia.com or hotelscheap.org.

In general, hotels will be cheaper out by the Philadelphia International Airport and across the Delaware River in New Jersey (Cherry Hill area). Either site is about 20 a minute drive (6-8 miles) from UPenn's campus in West Philadelphia.

Nourishment: The basement level of Houston Hall has a food court that will be open from noon - 8 p.m., serving everything from burgers to burritos, salads to sushi. There is an additional food court available on 34th & Walnut Street, as well as a Wawa on 38th & Spruce Street. Starbucks Coffee can be found on the corner of 34th & and Walnut Street, and there is a Dunkin Donuts is at 35th & Walnut Street.
