Library Collection

The Penn Go Society has been fortunate to receive a number of Go book donations from past and present members. We'd like to thank Mr. Tadasu Higashimura, from Tokyo, Japan, who donated 9 books to our club and helped begin our library, and also extend thanks our members David Kerkeslager, Jon Nyquist, and Barry Pasicznyk for their generous contributions.

Books are available to all members of the Penn Go Society. To ensure the safe and timely return of the books, we have instituted the following policy:

To borrow a book, a deposit of $20.00 should be given to either Peter N. or Matt B. After this, the borrower is free to check out one book at a time, for a period of up to 8 weeks. When the book is returned, the borrower may check out another book, and so forth. Once the borrower has finished checking out all the books of interest, the deposit will be returned in full.

If, after 6 weeks, the book has not been returned, a notice will be emailed to the borrower that they have 2 weeks remaining in which to bring the book back. If, after 8 weeks, the book still has not been returned, this will result in the loss of the deposit and the borrower will effectively have "bought" the book. Our club will then purchase another copy with the deposit funds.
