Spring 2009 Yuan Zhou Go Workshop
In the spring of 2009, the Penn Go Society had the honor of inviting Yuan Zhou, 8d, to our 2nd Annual Go workshop. The two-day event - held at the University of Pennsylvania on March 7-8, 2009 - was organized and directed by Matt Bengtson and Peter Nassar. Fourteen dedicated Go players, from 16-kyu to 3-dan came to Penn's campus to take part in an intense Go extravaganza featuring game reviews and lectures on the matches of Go Seigen.
Yuan Zhou is a renowned Go teacher and is also currently taking students. More information may be found on his website, available here. Fans of Yuan Zhou's lectures on professional games may find more of his keen Go insights in his superb books, published by Slate and Shell.
