The 2008 Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Go Tournament
The Penn Go Society held its first annual AGA-rated spring Go tournament at the University of Pennsylvania, on Sunday, March 30, 2008. The tournament featured 42 registrants competing in 5 divisions, and was organized and directed by Peter Nassar.
R. Zhao 6-dan tied for first place, with both players sporting an amazing 4-0 record. Special thanks go to Bill Cobb at Slate and Shell, who donated a number of books for the kyu-level prizes, to all our friends who helped us set-up and break-down the event, and to all the parents donated their time and brought their kids out to play!
