2006 Celebrate Japan! Festival
Following on our success in this past spring's Sakura Festival, the Penn Go Society was invited to take part in the 3rd Annual Celebrate Japan! Festival on October 7, 2006. Taking place inside the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the event was held amid a lush background of ancient Asian artifacts in the museum's Chinese rotunda, in addition to the more modern offerings of calligraphy, ikebana, and other Japanese crafts, not to mention the thousands of visitors!
Thank you to all of the volunteers of the Penn Go Society (Barry, Jon, David, Jim, Alex, Nick, and Ally!) who took the time out to come help teach, and thanks to all those who turned out to play!
