The 2006 Philadelphia Fall Open

The Penn Go Society held its second annual AGA-rated Go tournament at the University of Pennsylvania, on Sunday, December 10, 2006. The tournament was organized and directed by Peter Nassar, Matt Bengtson, and Paul Matthews. For the second year in a row, Ricky Zhao, 3-dan, took the first place prize with an amazing 4-0 record. Special thanks go to Bill Cobb at Slate and Shell, who donated a number of books for the kyu-level prizes; as well as to Josh Marcus and Tim Coble who secured for us a working laser printer at the last minute; and finally to all our friends who helped us set-up and break-down the event!
